You have full control over your data. Here is how to request account deletion and what happens when you do.

How to delete your account

You can request complete account deletion and permanent data removal in two ways:

  1. 1In-app: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Follow the confirmation steps.
  2. 2By email: Send a request to privacy@heydrop.app from the email address linked to your account.

What gets permanently deleted

  • Your profile information (name, email, company, photo)
  • All digital business cards and their content
  • Your contact lists and scan history
  • Analytics data and sharing statistics
  • Uploaded media (photos, logos, attachments)
This action is irreversible. Once deleted, we cannot recover your data.

Deletion timeline

Day 0: You submit your deletion request. Your account is immediately deactivated and inaccessible.

Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently removed from our primary databases.

Within 90 days: Data is purged from all backup systems and disaster recovery storage.

Data we may retain

We may retain minimal data as required by law (e.g., financial transaction records for tax compliance, fraud prevention logs). This retained data is stored securely with restricted access and cannot be used to identify you in most cases. Anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked to you may be retained indefinitely.

Before you delete

  • Export your contacts using CSV export before requesting deletion.
  • If you have an active subscription, it will be cancelled and refunded pro-rata.
  • Download any media (photos, logos) you may need for other platforms.
  • Consider transferring your Teams admin role if you manage a team account.
